Global Warming Causes

Global warming causes are mainly due to the gases that are mostly found in the atmosphere. These gases are commonly known as the greenhouse gases which are nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and methane. However, some of these gases are also produced because of human activities.

The gas that is mostly found in the atmosphere is a result of human activities on earth. This gas is carbon dioxide which is trapping the solar radiation which leads to global warming. The main source of carbon dioxide that is found in the earth’s atmosphere is from the burning of fossil fuels. It is the one that is used to generate electricity that people use.

Next is the carbon dioxide from automobiles such as cars. The basis of how much culprits is being released is based on how old a car is and how well the engines are maintained. We can have a lesser global warming if the fuel efficiency is better. There are also emissions of carbon dioxides from airplanes and building structures.

Methane is next to carbon dioxide as the significant greenhouse gas. This gas is more or less 20 times more effective than carbon dioxide in trapping the solar radiation but since the quantities in the atmosphere are much lower than the carbon dioxide, still the carbon dioxide is much more influential when it comes to causing global warming to the earth. Methane is released through rice plants by the organic matters of the soil as they starts to decompose because of the flood. Fossil fuel production is also a source of methane. Mass industrial bovine for food is producing a lot of it as well.

There are also natural factors in global warming causes. One of which is volcanic eruption. We don’t know when this eruption may occur and we surely can’t stop an active volcano from erupting. Second is the sunspot. It is a change of the solar radiation level on the earth that can have a great impact and possibility of changing the earth’s climate or temperature. Third and last is the spinning of the earth around its orbit. The earth does not achieve a perfect rotation as it spins but it wobbles slightly and this wobble causes the earth to change the temperature of the atmosphere.

Since you already know and hopefully understand the natural global warming causes, you must understand that the human factor is more important and can be controlled while the natural factors are not.

Here is a fact. We can be a big cause of global warming by simply driving our cars. We do use our cars to go from one place to another, but are we even aware of its effects to our mother earth? No !

Everyone should know and realize that driving a car requires a very large amount of fossil fuels. These fuels stores carbon and as it is burned the carbon dioxide are being released to the atmosphere.

Finally as humans, we have contributed to global warming. Yet we also have the power to prevent global warming from getting worse. Time to act on it before it is too late.
